At Busch Wildlife Sanctuary we love to educate all of our visitors and groups, large or small, about our animal ambassadors and the conservation of our natural environment. These programs are great for budding conservationists aged 5-14 to come & learn more about the environmental & widlife!
About Our Programs
Mini Junior Naturalists (5-8): We learn about environmental concepts like animal behaviors, habits, and enrichment as well as plant conservation, life cycles, and so much more! We play interactive games, work with the animals and native plants, and make eco-friendly crafts all while learning how to best take care of nature and the environment. And most importantly, we have fun!
Junior Naturalists (9-14): We dive deeper into concepts of animal behaviors, biology, habitat, plant conservation, and animal life cycles. We encourage more independence when it comes to working in small groups to learn about conservation, researching wildlife, animal handling, and group games! Our interactive program encourages wildlife education, environmental conservation, and public speaking. Our Junior Naturalists leave with a stronger awareness of how to care for the environment and the animals who live there.
Learning Labs: These hands-on programs will take place from 1:00 to 3:00PM on select Thursdays each month from September through May, giving students the chance to dive into Florida’s wildlife and conservation in fun, age-appropriate ways.
WILD Summer Break Adventure: Our Summer Camp for ages 8–11 invites young nature lovers to step into the world of Florida’s native wildlife. Campers will explore natural habitats, meet rescued animal ambassadors, participate in interactive activities, and discover what it takes to protect the wild places and animals that call Florida home.
